Elisa Balabram is the founder and editor of WomenandBiz.com online magazine. She holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship Management from Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, CUNY, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Before moving to New York, she assisted in building her family business for over ten years in Brazil, and still creates its marketing strategy. Elisa Balabram worked as the director of the SBA’s Women’s Business Resource Center/HPEDC in the Bronx, for three years, and now she manages the Brooklyn Enterprise Center at LDC of East New York. She has assisted over 850 women and minorities start and grow their businesses through coaching, counseling, and workshops and training. She is the author of the e-book “Inspirations and Strategies”. Elisa Balabram received the SBA NY District Women in Business Champion of the Year award in April 2008.
